Maurice Jacquet (b. 1877)


Maurice Jacquet, born in Paris, was a pupil of Leon Bonnat and Jules Lefebvre. He was known for his portraits and his scenes of genre. He was also an excellent draftsman, as is shown by this elegant drawing of a collie. Jacquet exhibited with the Salon des Artistes Français and was elected to its membership in 1903.
